SUPER EASY 7 LAYER CASSEROLE 1/2 c. rice 1 sm. can corn 2 sm. or 1 lg. can tomato sauce 1/2 c. water 1/2 med. onion, chopped 1/2 med. green pepper, chopped 1 lb. ground hamburger or turkey, uncooked 3 strips of bacon Dash of salt Dash of pepper
In 2 quart casserole, layer 1/2 cup uncooked rice on bottom, then pour corn over rice. Pour in 1 small can or 1/2 of large can tomato sauce. Next, pour 1/4 cup of water over layers. Then layer chopped onions, then layer chopped green pepper. Next, crumble uncooked meat for the 5th layer. Salt and pepper liberally. Pour over second can or 1/2 can (if large) tomato sauce. Pour 1/4 cup of water over the top and lay strips of bacon over that to finish it off. Preheat to 350 degrees. Bake 1 hour with lid and then 20 to 30 minutes, uncovered.
